Why did my dress arrive in a garbage bag?

Don't be scared when you see it! We've asked your seller to do this.

To protect your gown during shipping, we recommend our sellers use plastic bags just in case the box gets damaged during transit.

If the dress is particularly voluminous, the seller may turn it inside out, fold it, and use a large plastic bag—like a black, blue, or clear trash bag—because it’s THE perfect size and easily accessible.

Designers typically ship dresses to bridal salons the same way (but with clear bags).

It doesn't hurt the dress to be folded, and once when it hangs for a few days it will straighten out. If your dress has hard tulle under the skirt, have your seamstress steam it to restore its original poof and volume.
